This is a set-top box so good, it could actually beat out Sky HD to become the king of the UK subscription TV market.
Virgin Media’s latest addition to its TV platform, the new TiVo service, has been nominated in two categories in this year’s prestigious T3 Gadget of the Year Awards. The TiVO set-top box, designed by V2 over the past 18 months, has been nominated for both ‘Digital Media Service of the Year’ and ‘Gadget of the Year’. The product has an understated and unubtrusive aesthetic to allow the user to focus upon the tailored content that TiVo delivers.
The device and service have both been critically acclaimed since launching earlier this year, and represent huge step forward in the way we watch TV in the UK:
This isn’t your average set-top box. The Virgin Media powered by TiVo box is a massive shot in the arm to Virgin’s home cable service and has the potential to change the way we watch TV….
